It is also set up to where you can enter specific macro goals based on grams of macros or a percentage of your overall calorie goal. With this sheet, only edit the blue cells. The TDEE calculator uses the "Katch McArdle” equation. This sheet is where you select your activity level, your macro goals, and your body goals (cut, bulk, maintain). Both for male and female, updating depending on what gender you selected. Lastly, each of the measurement columns labels/headers have a hyperlink to a short video showing where to measure. Clicking that will expand/shrink columns F-P. Due note that I have used the same numbers for each of the equations and that there is a very large discrepancy from one calculator to the next (as much as ~10% difference).įor those that don't want to use the body fat calipers or don't have any, there is a new +/- box sitting above the label for the "F" column.
I have put in some arbitrary numbers to show how the columns are laid out. If you choose to simply update the chart with the weight, the formulas will use the last recorded body fat percentage. If you don't have all of the measurements recorded that are needed for the override, the specif cell(s) will highlight until they are filled. I thought this would be useful if you want to measure all/most of the sites to see how you've progressed but still stick with a different measurement calculator. Next to this column is an override column that lets you override the default calculator. Based on the inputs you enter into the measurement columns, it will auto-detect which formula to use. Off to the right of the columns, is a column labeled "Default BF Calculator Used". If you would like more information on a particular calculator, I put a hyperlink next to the drop down that auto-updates to some websites with more info. Admittedly, that's all this does and isn't really needed if you know what columns to use. There is a drop down near the top of the sheet, that when you select a formula, will highlight the needed columns. To use the formulas, simply measure the required spot on your body and enter in the value into the corresponding column. All but the navy tape measure method require a set of body fat calipers. The body stats page have the following ways of calculating your body fat level: Jackson/Pollock 3-site Jackson/Pollock 4-site Jackson/Pollock 7-site Yuhasz Parillo Dumin/Womersley Navy Tape Measure. Simply put, this is where you keep track of you body stats. Failure to do so will link the spreadsheet back to the shared read-only copy and not yours*** In order for those to work correctly for your copy of the spreadsheet, you will have to follow the directions on the instructions sheet.
***There are hyperlinks throughout the spreadsheet that links to specific cell/locations inside the spreadsheet. There is an instructions sheet built into the spreadsheet, but I'll briefly go over each tab as well. I made this to go along with my workout plan, and so the calorie goal will update based on how your body changes. This spreadsheet works by letting you set a weekly or daily macro goal, weekly or daily calorie goal (in case you decide to deviate from the suggested), a daily/weekly food planner, a database to keep your food, as well as a database for custom recipes. (As an aside, I also have this posted on r/CalorieTracker where I post any updates I do and for people to report bugs or ask questions) I will not share access, so please don't ask.*** There should be a button that has the Google Drive symbol with a + on it, a button that says add to drive, or got to File>Save as Copy (not sure if the formulas will transfer over to an Excel spreadsheet or not). If you want to edit it, you have to add it to your personal drive first. ***Disclaimer: This spreadsheet is set to read only. Pictures of the spreadsheet are at the bottom. I originally made this to help count calories, and then it turned into a meal prep with a recipe database.
This post is quite long, so sorry about that, but there's a lot of stuff to this sheet. Maybe it will help some of you in your prepping needs.
In anticipation of Meal Prep Sunday tomorrow, I thought I would share this spreadsheet that I made.
